Sharper, smoother, quieter
Cleaner textures, fewer hitches, Eldeon's leaves back in the air, and a long list of small fixes.
- Fixed1,313 of the game's 3D textures, armour among them, had been compressed into a blotchy mess at some point in the game's history. They have been swapped for clean copies from other versions of the game.
- NewLeaves fall in Eldeon again. Someone had switched the effect off "for performance" long before us, and today's PCs barely notice it.
- FixedFewer hitches. Skies are built once at login instead of while you walk. Entering a busy Eldeon town square went from up to 8 ms of loading to about 1. Drawing particles in a town went from about 3 ms a frame to 0.1. A pack of Frozen Thorns coming into view barely stutters now.
- ChangedMonster auras no longer switch off in a crowd. The old limit turned off the ninth aura onward in a pack, and it saved nothing measurable.
- FixedA pack of idle monsters no longer drones. Each one shouts at most every 15–30 s, and only when you're within 50 m.
- FixedWalking up to a monster to attack it now stops at your weapon's range. A late first swing used to leave you standing inside the monster.
- FixedPotion and food buffs showed "6h" left instead of seconds.
- FixedThe second-job relics from the Gorge of Silence's Stone Golems (Token of Friendship, Phoenix Writing Quill, Lillith's Scales) could not drop before your 21st kill. It now takes about 10 kills instead of 30.
- FixedCandle and Yigore Ghosts hatch from Ghost Seeds with their own strength now. They used to keep the seed's, and hit for 5.
- FixedAn invisible wall in Junon Polis, with only its shadow left on the ground, is visible again.
