Every weapon its own pace, every monster its own role
ChangedEvery player used to get +70 Attack, +80 Accuracy and +35 attack speed for free. It made the early game trivial (a level-1 starter sword killed a Choropy in one hit) and made every weapon swing at about the same speed. That bonus is gone and the weapons carry it instead, each type at its own pace: a katar swings every 0.6 s, an axe every 1.2 s.
ChangedThe mark beside a monster's name now tells you how it fights. Guards are walls. Warriors hit hard but go down faster. Archers and Magicians keep their distance, and Magicians resist magic. Stars mean 1.5, 2.2 and 4 times the HP, and a gold star is meant for two players.
ChangedBosses are sized for groups. A king is a fight for three players (45–90 s), a skull boss a fight for five (about 3 minutes). Frozen Tooth, the Sikuku Elite Slaughterer, the Cursed Ant Vagabond and the Ikaness Heavygear are field elites, and now wear a silver star.
FixedMonsters keep using their skills all fight long. Most could cast once or twice and then never again until they had stood idle for a while.
NewMonster skills have names, like "Searing Burst" and "Rock Throw", wherever the game shows one, such as the damage meter.
ChangedThe big first-job skills hit harder at low ranks: Leap Attack, Lightning, Ice Bolt, Screw Attack, Holding Arrow and Gun Smash. Rank 10 is unchanged.
ChangedHawker Spirit raises Attack Power (6–15%). Hawkers and Raiders holding a katar can land critical skills (×1.5). Skills could never crit before.
ChangedThe Bourgeois' Terror Knight taunts, so the monster turns on it instead of you. Ctrl+click an enemy to send it in.
FixedThe Artisan's Weapon Research critical bonus showed in the character window but never applied in a fight. It works now, retuned to +3–10%.
ChangedThe Luna Clan Field's monsters are two-player content now.
