Aim where you strike

Area skills that land on a spot no longer need a target. Press the key, point at the ground, click. Two new skills were built around it.

• NewArrow Shower, Luna Stone, Ice Bang, Star Gazer, Shadow Servant and Exceed Break are aimed with the mouse. Press the skill's key and its area follows the mouse on the ground in a pale blue outline, with a faint ring at the skill's range. Left click casts it there. Strips and cones point from you toward the mouse.
• TipClick past the range and the area stops at the ring. You won't walk there by yourself, so the aim can't carry you into a boss's red zone. Press the key again, press Esc or right click to cancel.
• NewEarthsplitter (Champion, two-handed sword, level 90): you split the ground in an 8 m cone that you aim. It's the sword's area skill, the way Dance of Flames is the spear's. The book is with Darren, next to Final Strike's.
• NewSkyrend (Raider, dual swords, level 150): six blows on the ground, a leap, two more blows in the air and a diving slam. It's our first level-150 skill, and it needs Battle Mastery at rank 15. Darren sells the book too.
• FixedArea skills cast on the ground showed their damage numbers but no hit effects and no sound. Exceed Break was completely silent. They all hit with a bang now.
• NewFor modders: Earthsplitter and Skyrend are the first skills animated with a procedural toolkit (from SlopStudio) instead of with clips from another client. Their moves are built from scratch, down to the leap baked into the animation.
